Inter Milan are eyeing a summer swoop for Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna, following their rumoured capture of Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic.
According to reports in Italy, the long-serving Gunners' defender has been targeted by Inter as they continue to improve their squad under new owner Erik Thohir.
Rumours suggest that the Frenchman has been targeted by both Manchester City and Chelsea, and it’s now looking increasingly likely that he will depart the Emirates this summer after he rejected Arsenal’s offer of a new deal.
With Sagna’s contract up in the summer he may well leave for free, which will be disconcerting news for Arsene Wenger and the majority of the Gunners’ fans.
However it will be music to the ears of Inter supporters, who have already seen a shift in emphasis since Thohir took control of the club.
Speculation in recent days suggests the Serie A giants have virtually guaranteed Vidic’s services from the summer onwards, and Sagna could be another timely addition.
