Forward scores accidental 70-yard goal of the season contender

Vigor Lamezia, a lower league Italian team, beat opponents Tuttocuoio 1-0 on Sunday to move up to eighth in the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione.

Nothing spectacular about that you might say - but you haven't seen the winning goal yet.

Forward Domenico Zampaglione got a tad fortunate when he launched into a 50/50 tackle in his own half with 31 minutes gone.

Rather than, say, receive a yellow card for his overzealous tackle, he could only watch on in amazement as the ball flew out and over the goalkeeper in the opposing goal from about 70 yards away.

How it happened, we're still not sure but what we do know is this; it's the craziest goal we've ever seen - so check it out above and let us know the strangest goal you have ever seen.
