North London v Manchester v Merseyside XI: Who wins? (1)

The most recent weekend of Premier League action certainly threw up some interesting results.

Early on Saturday afternoon, Arsenal travelled to Anfield to take on Liverpool. The Gunners were top of the table and in excellent form.

By the time the game had finished, Arsene Wenger's men had ben torn apart and consigned to a 5-1 defeat by a rampant Liverpool side.

Little more than 24 hours later Everton travelled to White Hart Lane to take on Tottenham. The Merseyside team got the better of the north London side in every department except for one; the scoreline.

Thanks to Emmanuel Adebayor's goal in the second half - which was actually Tottenham's first shot on target all game - Spurs stole the points and moved up into fifth place above the Toffees.

So with the honours even between Merseyside and north London we thought we'd put the best XI players from each area and see which team would come out on top.

To spice things up even more we've also chucked in a best XI from Manchester to see which area currently has the best team.
