Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini will still be without star trio Sergio Aguero, Fernandinho and Samir Nasri for the visit of Sunderland tomorrow night, but still has alternative options available in search of three precious points to get their title charge back on track.
Pellegrini opted for Alvaro Negredo and Stevan Jovetic in attack last weekend but the pair failed to click in a goalless draw against Norwich City, the second game in succession which has seen the Citizens draw a blank.
Edin Dzeko missed out at Carrow Road but could return to provide a fresh goal threat against the resurgent Black Cats, with Jovetic missing out.
Elsewhere expect Pellegrini to rotate where he can as fixtures against Chelsea and Barcelona loom large over the next seven days, with Aleksandar Kolarov able to provide a menacing threat at left-back Gael Clichy.
David Silva, Yaya Toure, James Milner and Jesus Navas should all continue despite failing to break down a stubborn Norwich resistance, while Martin Demichelis is likely to keep his place at centre-back rather than reverting to the midfield experiment which failed against Chelsea last week.
Manchester City predicted XI to face Sunderland: Hart, Kolarov, Demichelis, Kompany, Zabaleta, Milner, Yaya Toure, Silva, Navas, Dzeko, Negredo
