The summer and winter transfer windows of the 2013/14 season saw unprecedented amounts of spending across Europe's top five league.

We saw records both for club and country being broken all over the place. Tottenham broke their club record three times in the summer while Arsenal trebled theirs with the purchase of Mesut Ozil.

Meanwhile, France saw their transfer record broken three times by PSG and Monaco and Real Madrid broke their own world record with the acquisition of Gareth Bale.
