Ahead of the NBA All-Star weekend a number of the games biggest stars revealed to Vanity Fair their eclectic music tastes.
With many of the leagues players known to be heavily into their music, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook Carmelo Anthony and a few others gave us an insight into exactly what they have playing under those giant 'beats by Dre' headphones.
As expected the usual suspects such as Jay Z, Drake, and Kanye West were mentioned in a number of player's lists, but there were also some surprising choices.
Kevin Garnett for instance revealed himself to be a secret Lorde fan, listing the young singer and British band Portishead alongside Drake, Kanye West, and Zero 7.
While Russell Westbrook lost a little street cred by highlighting Katy Perry as one of his favorite artists.
Although the OKC player did insists that it is strictly a rap playlist before the game.
And the secret to LeBron James dominant performances on the court?
"Before a game, I'll listen to pretty much the same thing, but with more throwback hip-hop: Biggie, Tupac, Rakim, Nas, N.W.A, DMX," he told the magazine.
Although special praise was reserved for Jay Z:
"His lyrics, his flow, his music, his inspiration get me ready to go out and do whatever it takes to win."
