Arsenal and Manchester United will tomorrow play in a crunch match that could seal any chance of recovery for the two clubs, so obviously it will be one of the most interesting matches of the season and the outcome will reach far into the season.
Arsenal go into the game on the back of a 5-1 trashing at the hands of Liverpool, so they are already trailing rivals Chelsea by a point and with Chelsea drawing at West Brom last night a loss today for the gunners could see the gap widen by a further two points.
This will put further pressure on the club to keep on winning Premier League games and with two tough fixtures ahead, a Champions League encounter with Bayern Munich and an FA cup match against Liverpool, the squad may be weak for the next Premier League game and any chance of catching up with Chelsea and Manchester City could be lost.
Although Arsenal have home advantage tonight, their record against Manchester United at Emirates Stadium is not good - the last time Arsenal defeated the Red Devils at home in the Premier League was back in 2011.
But hope is not lost for the Gunners as Manchester United have been playing their worst football in years lately and after getting held by Fulham at Old Trafford last weekend it looks as though Arsenal might just steal the win, but with United looking to prove a point, as well as Robin van Persie, it perhaps won't be easy for the North London side.
United go into this game on the back of a 2-2 draw aganst Fulham at home and an embarrassing string of results which included a 2-1 loss at Stoke. So what happens if United lose at Arsenal tomorrow?
First of all it will be very demoralising for the players and fans and we could see all hope of getting even a Champions League spot in players and fans alike disappear, but in terms of the league it will mean they will fall further behind the top four and struggle to get back in the race.
We may also see teams not fear United as much of a threat and hence play with less pressure when they go to Old Trafford - if they lose tomorrow it will certainly send a bad message to other teams.
But both teams certainly have a point to prove tomorrow so it will definitely be a game worth watching, will Van Persie score and rub Arsenal fans noses in it? Or will we see Arsenal trash United like Liverpool did to them?
