Manchester United have identified Juventus defender Martin Cáceres as a possible replacement for the soon-to-be-departing Nemanja Vidic, according to talkSPORT.
The Uruguay international is currently out of first-team favour in Turin, and has made just five Serie 'A' appearances for Antonio Conte's side this season.
Red Devils boss David Moyes is keen to reinforce his defence in the summer, and Cáceres' ability to play right across the back line could help earn him a move to Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old would be available for around £8million, and go some way to filling the void that will be left by the Manchester United captain, when he leaves the club at the end of 2013/14.
Moyes' main transfer priority remains adding a central midfielder, but the fact he is also in the market for a centre-back and two full-backs could increase the versatile defender's chances of joining the Premier League giants in the summer.
