Real Madrid last night set a Copa del Rey record for minutes without conceding a goal in the competition.
Real's website highlighted the fact they have now gone 742 minutes in the competition without having to pick the ball out of the net, breaking Barcelona's previous best of 696 minutes set in 1989.
They become the first club since 1916 to reach the final of 'The Cup of Kings' without conceding, and will look to equal Athletic Bilbao's record of winning the competition without a goal against them, though Bilbao played less games to reach the final.
Carlo Ancelotti's men beat local rivals Atletico Madrid 5-0 on aggregate, winning 2-0 last night at the Vicente Calderon. The Italian's team have gone 24 games unbeaten since their defeat at Barcelona at the back end of October.
Madrid now look set to face Barca in the Copa final, unless Real Sociedad can turn around a two-goal deficit at the Anoeta tonight.
