Tottenham target Hannover 96 midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a summer move for Hannover 96 midfielder Andre Hoffmann, according to talkSPORT.

The Germany U21 international has attracted admiring glances from a number of clubs, following a series of impressive performances since breaking into Tayfun Korkut's first-team.

Spurs boss Tim Sherwood is yet to venture into the transfer market since succeeding Andre Villas-Boas at White Hart Lane in December, but might be tempted by the 20-year-old, who is under contract at the HDI-Arena until 2016.

The north London club will face competition for Hoffmann's signature though, with two clubs in Italy also weighing up bids for the talented youngster at the end of the season.

There have been suggestions that Sherwood would be at risk of losing his job if Tottenham fail to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League next season. However, that has not prevented him from drawing up a list of possible targets in the next transfer window.
