Jose Mourinho said his Chelsea side lacked 'the personality' to kill off Tuesday night's Premier League game at West Brom.

The Blues would have extended their lead at the top of the table to four points with a victory, but Branislav Ivanovic's first-half goal was cancelled out late on by Victor Anichebe at The Hawthorns.

Arsenal will now have the chance to return to the Premier League summit with three points against Manchester United at the Emirates this evening.

The Gunners were humbled 5-1 at Liverpool on Saturday, while United were held to a 2-2 draw by Fulham at Old Trafford a day later, and both sides will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing weekend.

Meanwhile, in Spain, Cristiano Ronaldo was struck in the head by a lighter during Real Madrid's Copa del Rey clash against Atletico last night.

The Portugal captain scored two first-half penalties to seal a 5-0 aggregate victory over their derby rivals, and set up a final against either Barcelona or Real Sociedad on April 19.

On to cricket, and Kevin Pietersen has re-signed for the Delhi Daredevils as he continues to plan for life after England.

The 33-year-old is free for the first time to feature in a full Indian Premier League campaign, following his axing as a contracted England player.

The IPL announced on its official Twitter feed on Wednesday morning that Pietersen would play for the Daredevils in the 2014 season, who agreed to pay 90million Indian rupees at the pre-season auction.
