Chelsea are facing a defensive crisis for their FA Cup fifth round tie against Manchester City, reports the Daily Star.
The Blues travel to the Etihad on Saturday evening in what represents one of the most important games of their season. Manchester City have been on fire at home this season and will be looking to avenge last month's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho will have to cope with the most potent attacking force in England and may have do so without his first choice centre-backs John Terry and Gary Cahill.
Terry was expected to return from injury against West Brom on Tuesday but failed to make the squad. He now faces a race against time to be fit to start at the Etihad Stadium.
Adding to Mourinho's woes is Cahill, who picked up a knock in the closing minutes of the 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns.
The England international is a major doubt for the cup tie and leaves Mourinho with a selection headache.
Cahill told reporters after the game: "Once I got the knock, I was struggling from then on.
"It happened when a West Brom player went for a header and I was on the floor, and he landed just inside my knee/calf.
"It's sore and we'll see what it's like later."
