Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign midfield starlet Bruno Zuculini from Argentinean side Racing Club according to the club's president Victor Blanco.
The 20-year-old has been attracting interest from a number of top sides in Europe but it appears City have won the race for his signature. Blanco revealed the deal when talking to the newspaper El Dia, according to Sky Sports.
"Every season Racing puts together a side to battle for the title, and then nothing happens," he said.
"So we wanted to keep the side and reinforce it, but we have several highly coveted gems from the outside, such as Luciano Vietto, Rodrigo De Paul and Bruno Zuculini - who has already signed an agreement to leave in June to join Manchester City."
Zuculini has played for his club 79 times since making his debut in 2010, scoring 10 goals. He also has 10 caps for the Argentina U20 side.
If the midfielder does move to the Etihad, he will join compatriots Sergio Aguero, Pablo Zabaleta and Martin Demichelis in Manuel Pellegrini's squad.
City already have a number of midfielders at the club, and have been repeatedly linked to a number of players including Porto's Fernando, but if Blanco is right, then they will have another hot prospect in their side.
