The NBA trade deadline is fast approaching and the Oklahoma City Thunder are actively looking into getting another player in ahead of February 20th, per reports.
Adrian Wojnarowski, NBA analyst for Yahoo sports, reported on Twitter that sources have told him that the Thunder were hoping to add a shooter to their roster as they look to bolster their position heading into the business end of the season.
Russell Westbrook remains on the sidelines, and although coach Brooks mentioned a possible return date some time shortly after the All-Star break, OKC it seems are looking for increased options regardless.
With a week remaining until the deadline passes the franchise has trade exceptions available and so are in a position to add to their roster - with Rudy Fernandez of Real Madrid a name being mentioned in rumors.
But with Kevin Durant continuing to score freely for the Thunder and the team averaging 104.9 points a game (the fifth best total in the league), should their search for a new addition not prove fruitful they will be confident of finishing the season strong regardless.
OKC currently hold a 42-12 record leaving them top of the Western Conference.
Nothing like building from a position of strength eh?
