Chelsea defender David Luiz could be at the centre of a huge bidding war this summer, with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and now Paris Saint-Germain all vying for his signature, according to Le 10 Sport.
Barcelona attempted to sign the Brazil international last summer and remain keen on bringing him to the Camp Nou, while it was recently reported that Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is also interested.
Now PSG have joined the race for the versatile 26-year-old, who can play either as a centre-back or as a holding midfielder.
The oil-rich French champions have identified Luiz as the perfect replacement for 31-year-old Alex, another Brazilian central defender who previously played for Chelsea.
After Jose Mourinho completed the signings of midfielder Nemanja Matic and promising young centre-back Kurt Zouma, who will arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer, there’s a growing belief that Luiz could find himself surplus to requirements next season.
A £35m move, therefore, could be completed following the 2014 World Cup finals - in which Luiz is expected to have a big role to play.
