Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla is set to miss his side's FA Cup fifth round clash with Liverpool this weekend, reports Goal.com

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that the Spaniard will miss the game with illness.

Arsenal will be desperate to get one over on Liverpool as the north London outfit suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat to Brendan Rodgers' side just last weekend.

However, if Arsene Wenger is going to lead his side into the quarter final of the competition, then he will have to do it without the influential Cazorla.

Arsenal will have Mathieu Flamini back in action after the midfielder completed his suspension as the Gunners hosted Manchester United in mid-week.

Ahead of the clash with Liverpool, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger told reporters: "We have only one player back and that's Flamini. He should be fresh. Cazorla is ill in bed, he won't be available."

With Arsenal in Champions League action against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night, the Gunners boss insisted that he was only focussed on this weekend's FA Cup tie.

He continued by saying: "Will I rest one, two or three players? I don't know yet," he admitted. "We have one focus - to win this game."

Arsenal fans will be hoping the side move one step closer to ending their eight year trophy drought.
