Arsene Wenger has declared Liverpool are the team his Arsenal side want to play after the thrashing they took at Anfield last weekend.
The Gunners face the Merseysiders in the FA Cup fifth round this Sunday and Wenger believes it's the perfect game for his side to put things right.
He told reporters: "It's the first team we want to play. When you can put things right what you want is an opportunity to do that, and we have."
The London club were top of the table when they travelled to face Brendan Rodgers' side last Saturday but were smashed 5-1, the worst possible start to their tricky February fixtures.
They drew to Man United on Wednesday and face a daunting task against European champions Bayern Munich in the Champions League next week.
Pep Guardiola's side will be massive favourites to progress over the two legs, which would leave just the Premier League, and the FA Cup, should they beat Liverpool, as chances of silverware this season.
And asked whether he will sees the Cup as a real chance of ending nine years without a trophy, Wenger said his side would give it a go.
"The FA Cup is one of the competitions we are in," he added. "Of Course we will go for it."
