European football is blessed with a number of deadly strike partnerships across it's major leagues this season, with a host of top sides in Spain and England battling it out for domestic success.

While the Premier League has the likes of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, Liverpool's formidable force of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, and Manchester City's star double act of Alvaro Negredo and Sergio Aguero, La Liga is home to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Diego Costa, all of whom are striving to help their side win the title in a remarkably close campaign in Spain.

But just who are the best? While the debate could go on and on, we will let the stats do the talking, as GMS contributor Alex Brown takes us through the five duos with the most goals this season across Europe's major leagues.

Thanks to 101 Great Goals for providing us with the all important stats.
