Bayern Munich fired Arsenal a warning shot ahead of next week's Champions League clash, as the reigning European champions eased to a 4-0 victory over Freiburg in the Bundesliga this afternoon.

Goals from Dante, Xherdan Shaqiri and Claudio Pizarro gave Pep Guardiola's men a comfortable win as they remain on course for the German title, opening up a 15-point-lead at the top of the table.

Brazilian defender Dante gave Bayern the lead after 19 minutes with a flicked header, before Shaqiri struck twice before half time to put the game to bed with a couple of deflected goals.

Guardiola was able to rest the likes of Arjen Robben and Philipp Lahm in the second half, as Pizarro added a fourth late on to complete the scoring.

Munich travel to London next, with a mouthwatering last-16 clash with Arsenal at the Emirates on Wednesday night.

Before then Arsenal face a tough encounter with Liverpool tomorrow in the FA Cup fifth round, looking to atone for their humiliating defeat at Anfield last week, where they were thrashed 5-1.
