Wayne Rooney is reported to have decided on his future and will commit to Manchester United for the long-term after agreeing a lucrative new four-and-a-half year contract.

The 28-year-old’s new deal will be the largest in the history of the Premier League, while he is also expected to be appointed captain following the departure of Nemanja Vidic at the end of the season,.

A former teammate of Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, could be set to earn another big money deal for himself, although it will not see the Real Madrid star return to Old Trafford.
