According to the Daily Star, Real Madrid’s Spanish starlet Isco is to be reunited with former coach Manual Pellegrini at Manchester City, with the youngster unhappy with limited first team opportunities at the Bernabeu.

After reportedly agreeing to join Pellegrini at City last summer, Isco moved to Real Madrid and enjoyed a good first season under Jose Mourinho. However, this term his appearances have been limited. Carlo Ancelotti has been using the likes of Luka Modric, Angel Di Maria and Gareth Bale more frequently than the Spanish starlet.

Pellegrini is known to rate the youngster highly after managing him at Malaga, and would be willing to part with upwards of £30m for the midfielder. Real are known to be big admirers of Sergio Aguero, but Pellegrini is reportedly not prepared to use him as part of the deal.

Isco has only made 17 league appearances for Real Madrid since signing in the summer, and will seek game time elsewhere unless he has assurances on his future from Ancelotti at Madrid. City and Pellegrini remain poised to make a move.
