After Saturday night’s performance against Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City have become favourites to lift the FA Cup.
A great 2-0 over their rivals was enough to send City into the next round and, seeing as on paper they are arguably the strongest team left in the competition, they are favourites to win it all.
Man City not only have the best strike-force in the league but possibly in the whole of Europe.
Alvaro Negredo, Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and the returning Stevan Jovetic have been a potent source of goals for the Citizens. Manuel Pellegrini has reiterated that his team are not favourites for anything; however, even though he is very humble, he must now believe that his team can win the league and FA Cup - and seeing as his team are on fantastic form despite the small slip up against Chelsea they could even defeat Barcelona in the Champions League round of 16 this week.
Manchester City have just gotten better and better since their takeover way back in 2008 by the mega rich Sheik Mansour of Abu Dhabi - and with a virtually unlimited budget and the power to bring in anyone they want the Mancunians will one day rival the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
As long as they are able to keep hold of their best players and continue to invest in the best players and grow as a team and as a brand they will be a force to be reckoned with.
