Several Manchester United stars have posted photographs of themselves sitting alongside Argentina legend Diego Maradona on their warm-weather break in Dubai.

Rio Ferdinand, Alexander Buttner and Adnan Januzaj all posted photos on Instagram this morning, while Juan Mata tweeted a particularly humorous photograph on himself alongside the man considered by many as the best footballer in history.

"Ladies and gentleman, the best left foot ever! EL DIEGO. #Maradona," the Spain international wrote on Twitter.

The Manchester United squad have been in Dubai since Thursday, but are due to return in order to being preparing for Saturday's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

David Moyes' side find themselves 11 points behind fourth-placed Liverpool with just 12 Premier League matches left to play - and are subsequently not expected to qualify for next season's Champions League.

However, Moyes hopes that this mid-season break will revitalise his beleaguered players ahead of three crucial months for both himself and his squad.
