Newcastle winger Hatem Ben Arfa could be on his way to Inter Milan after the club have shown significant interest in the player, according to reports.
This move could be of huge importance to the Frenchman, who will want to represent his country in this summer's upcoming World Cup Finals in Brazil.
Ben Arfa has not been favoured by Alan Pardew in recent weeks, with players such as Yoan Gouffran and Loïc Rémy being preferred.
For Newcastle, they may not want to lose Ben Arfa, due to fellow countryman Yohan Cabaye heading to Paris Saint-Germain in the previous window.
Also, with director of football Joe Kinnear recently leaving his post, this may give Pardew more power to do what he wants with the players he has available to him, and may give him more say over who Newcastle pursue in the upcoming transfer windows.
Inter Milan would really benefit from this signing, as they do not have much width in their side, and Ben Arfa could act as the key winger they need. Currently Rodrigo Palacio is the only known player who can play out wide, but he is favoured in a central role as of late, so this signing would potentially allow them to challenge for a Scudetto next season.
