Manchester City v Barcelona

Manchester City's reward for finally progressing to the latter stages of the Champions League after a couple of years of disappointment under Roberto Mancini is two fixtures against La Liga champions Barcelona.

With the first leg to come on Tuesday night, City fans will have been very sad indeed to see Sergio Aguero ruled out.

The Argentine - undoubtedly Manuel Pellegrini's most potent and dangerous attacking talent - has been struggling with a hamstring injury and it does not look to have recovered in time.

Although City may have Fernandinho back in action and will have confidence after the 2-0 victory over Chelsea on Saturday, Barcelona demolished Rayo Vallecano 6-0 on Saturday evening, with the likes of Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta in irresistible form.

City won't be overawed, but Barcelona will have too much quality on the night.
