Anquan Boldin is in talks over a new multi-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers, according to NFL.com.
The 33-year-old wide receiver enjoyed a fruitful 2013 season, recording 85 receptions for 1,179 yards and seven scores.
Boldin proved to be an absolute steal for Niners general manager Trent Baalke, who gave up a sixth-round draft pick to acquire the veteran playmaker from the Baltimore Ravens last March.
Now it looks as though the soon-to-be free-agent will extend his stay at Candlestick Park, and turn out on Jim Harbaugh's roster opposite Michael Crabtree for the 2014 season.
With the two parties currently in negotiations over a new deal, they will hope to reach an agreement by March 8, the date when all free agents can begin speaking with other NFL teams.
It's understood that both player and franchise are keen to do a deal, meaning that Boldin will be able to continue his prolific partnership with quarterback Colin Kaepernick next season.
