Barcelona star Gerard Pique has insisted that he would pick Manchester United over Manchester City, reports The Mirror.
The Catalans star is currently preparing to take on the Sky Blues at the Etihad tonight and he's insisted that, despite being happy at Barcelona, Manchester United are his second team.
Manchester United have had a nightmare season so far and currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League table and are in great danger of missing out on next year's Champions League.
This recently led to Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini insisting that his team are now the biggest team in Manchester. However, Pique has dismissed these claims and insists Manchester United are still the team that he would choose.
When asked whether he would choose Manchester United or Manchester City, Pique said: "What do you think? If I had to choose one, it would be United.
"But I am really happy in Barcelona. It is the club of my life and I am not looking to leave. But I always say United is my second team after Barcelona.
"I would like to have played more at United, but it was a very important three years and I learned a lot."
Pique will now be hoping to help Barcelona secure a win at the Etihad tonight. Meanwhile Manchester United will be back in Champions League action next week as they travel to Greece to take on Olympiacos.
Manchester United may have to win the Champions League this season, if they are going to qualify for the competition next season.
