Welcome to the GiveMeSport – Social Report. Where we have a look at the weekend’s social media best bits!

We start with Olivier Giroud confessing his alleged affair and apologizing to his family, his fans and the club. One hour before Arsenal’s FA Cup tie against Liverpool.

Not the best Valentines weekend for Mrs. Giroud…but other footballers were more sentimental and posted pictures up of them and their other halves spending time together.

Manchester United are at a warm weather training camp in the Middle East…and while out there, they met the legendary Diego Maradona. It didn’t take long for the Manchester United stars to post up their pictures with the legend.

On to the Winter Olympics, the Jamaican Bobsled team made an appearance again, but it wasn’t their performance that caught our eye.

They created a catchy bobsled theme tune to engage fans. And if you play the song, it syncs perfectly with the Olympic bobsled track's twists and turns. See the full video on here.

And now, a look at the most popular sports Facebook pages.

The top athlete is the current Ballon D’or Winner Cristiano Ronaldo, way in the lead.

Barcelona tops the most popular sports clubs, with Real Madrid in second by a table dominated by football clubs.

The Red Bull Facebook page is top of the pile with 42m, Converse in close second, with Nike and adidas splitting their brand to target different markets behind them.

In Sporting Competitions. UEFA Champions League is on top at the moment. This will be interesting to see if this grows during a Champions league week.

And finally Events. The Olympic Games in the lead and should grow with the Winter Olympics currently being held in Russia.

That's all for this week, send us in your pictures or videos to us via email or use our social media channels and we’ll pick the best ones to show them in the next show.
