The NBA trade deadline is looming and with it come report after report of trades, rumours and a whole host of theories.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo, the Bobcats were gaining traction in trade talks with the Milwaukee Bucks for Gary Neal and Caron Butler, but negotiations have come to an abrupt end and any deal is looking dead in the water.
The news will come as a blow to Charlotte who have been very active shopping around for talent in an attempt to boost their playoff push.
After having a run-in with center Larry Sanders earlier in the season, Neal's name immediately was linked with moves away from Milwaukee and has been an assumed trading chip ever since his altercation.
Butler is averaging 10.5 points and 4.6 rebounds in 23.8 minutes this season but has only played in 32 of 52 games . Neal is averaging 10.2 points on 38.9 percent from the field in 20.2 minutes. He has played even less than Butler, only being on the floor in 29 appearances.
