Real Madrid are reported to have made Arturo Vidal a top priority target for the summer transfer window. The Juventus midfielder has been in exceptional form this season, also leading to links with Manchester United.
Goal Italia claim Madrid president Florentino Perez strived to bring the Chilean to the Santiago Bernabeu last summer but, having failed to do so, is set to return for the player at the end of the season.
Vidal has pledged his commitment to Juventus on a number of occasions but, it is claimed, will try at all costs to lure the player away from Turin. Previous reports in the Spanish press claim Madrid are set to bid €60 million as they pursue ‘Plan V’ in the transfer market.
Madrid, though, are unlikely to be the only club hoping to recruit Vidal for the start of next season with Manchester United also credited with interest in the 26-year-old.
Manchester United representatives were reported to have made initial contact with Juventus regarding the potential acquisition of Vidal in the January transfer window, and could be encouraged to make another attempt to bring the player to Old Trafford.
