Rajon Rondo and Celtics in talks with Houston Rockets

Rajon Rondo hasn't seen much action for the Boston Celtics this season, but trade deadline day is set to be the busiest the point guard has been all year.

The rumour mill has been going into overdrive when it comes to the 27 year old, and it won't let up in the next two days.

If you are inclined to believe Chad Ford of ESPN then you will know that Rondo has been available for months before now. But that titbit in particular doesn't seem very true when you take one thing to mind: Rajon Rondo is an elite point guard.

If Rondo has seriously been available for that long and no side has done anything then automatically i'm going to call baloney.

In other news, if you've been anywhere near a computer this will come as no surprise to you: the Houston Rockets are reportedly talking with the Boston Celtics about a blockbuster trade for Rajon Rondo.

Fox Sports Sam Amico and ESPN's Marc Stein have both relayed news of the Rockets interest in Rondo.

Houston are prepared to give the Celtics the two first round picks they want, but do not want to give up Chandler Parsons as well, the man who GM Danny Ainge desperately wants in Boston and to be made part of the deal.

Jeremy Lin and center Omer Asik could be ready to take Parsons place in the trade if either side was to budge, but at the moment things aren't looking great.

The world of Rajon Rondo is travelling at one million miles an hour right now and it's not going to lessen up any until after February 20th.
