Scouts from Chelsea and Tottenham recently watched France Under-21 international Florian Thauvin in action, according to RMC Sport.
The Premier League scouts ran the rule over Marseille's highly-rated attacking midfielder during the Ligue 1 fixture between L'OM and Bastia on February 8.
Thauvin played for 73 minutes before being substituted for Ghana international Andre Ayew.
The 21-year-old clearly made an impression, though, because scouts from both Chelsea and Spurs are set to be in attendance for this Saturday's match between Marseille and Lorient to watch Thauvin once again.
It's unclear whether other clubs will send scouts to monitor Thauvin this weekend; however, Manchester United have been linked with the player in recent months.
Around the same time as those reports emerged, respected journalist Daniel Riolo revealed that a €20m offer could tempt Marseille into selling their prized asset.
“If there is an offer to €20m, Thauvin will raise hell to go,” Riolo wrote in December.
