Following Wednesday night's Champions League clash between Arsenal and Bayern Munich, some have labelled the Gunners' playmaker Mesut Ozil a big-money flop.

However, the Germany international still has plenty of time to silence his critics. Indeed, a few good performances in a row and the same people who criticise will be hailing him.

But the possibility of him becoming a big-money flop should not be ruled out.

This list features the ten most expensive players of all time - including Ozil - and we've judged whether they were stars or flops.
