Manchester United are tracking Sporting Lisbon winger Carlos Mane, according to Sky Sports.
The 19-year-old caught the eye of the United scouts whilst they were in Lisbon watching another transfer target, William Carvalho.
Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham have all shown an interest in the Portuguese youngster, along with teams from the Bundesliga and Serie A.
The Old Trafford club could be the most likely club to sign the youngster, given their ties with Sporting Lisbon over previous signings Nani and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The winger has just signed a new contract with Sporting Lisbon, but interest is still coming in from potential summer buyers. He is seen as being one of the highest rated talents in Portugal and a move to England is something that interests the youngster.
His agent, Dan Chapman said: "Carlos is concentrating on maintaining a place in the Sporting first team. He also enjoys a long-term contract at Sporting, they value him highly and so it is premature to be talking of a move.
"That said, I am aware of a number of clubs with real interest and who are keeping tabs on him, and it has to be said that whilst a move to the Premier League is the ultimate goal for Carlos at some point in the future - just one reason being that he has family in the UK already - some Bundesliga and Serie A clubs might appear to be more advanced in their interest at this stage."
