Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz are set to remain teammates next year even if they are lining up in different jerseys.
Nicks has followed in his New York Giants compatriot Cruz's lead by joining Roc Nation Sports, the agency created by rapper Jay Z.
The wide receiver confirmed the news earlier, tweeting "I’m proud to become a part of the #RocNationSports family!" from his official account.
Nicks might not remain a Giant for long. He's a free agent and is looking unlikely to be re-signed following an injury plagued last couple of seasons.
In 2010 and 2011, Nicks caught more than 70 passes for more than 1,000 yards receiving in each season and scored a combined 18 touchdowns. But in the past two seasons, Nicks' best was the 56 catches for 896 yards he managed last year. He failed to score a touchdown in the whole season.
Jay-Z's firm also represents Cruz, New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia and New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith.
Detroit Lions defensive end Ndamukong Suh was recently added to the client roster, joining Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano and WNBA player Skylar Diggins.
