Samir Handanovic believes the addition of Nemanja Vidic would greatly strengthen Inter Milan.
Manchester United's captain Vidic dropped a bombshell on David Moyes after publicly declaring that he will depart at the end of the season when his contract expires.
The early favourites to capture the Old Trafford captain's signature is Inter Milan, who are backed by billionaire owner Erick Thohir.
In light of the intense speculation, Handanovic has declared that he is backing Inter's pursuit of the player, believing that the 32-year-old Serbian would strengthen the team greatly.
He told Sky Italia: "I don't know Vidic personally but I think his career speaks for itself.
"He would strengthen us."
Handanovic also had to comment on his own future, taking his time to respond to links with Barcelona.
He continued: "Do I find the Barcelona links flattering? I think any player would be honoured, but in any case it's in the past and I'm happy here.
"I only see myself at Inter. Nowhere but Inter."
Moyes faces the prospect of having to replace Manchester United's long-standing skipper in the summer and has been linked with the likes of Eliaquim Mangala recently.
