Fans have been having their say on who they think should be in the greatest Manchester United XI of all time - and now the results have been revealed.

Popular fan Facebook page "The People’s Person" have conducted the poll, hoping to discover the finest Ii players to have ever worn the famous red shirt.

There are a few surprise choices in the team; Edwin Van der Sar is preferred in goal to Peter Schmeichel while George Best has to make do with a place on the bench.

Despite his recent troubles at Manchester United, Wayne Rooney is selected in attack over the likes of Ruud van Nistelrooy, Denia Law, Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke.

Old Trafford legend and club record scorer Bobby Charlton is also on the bench and there's no room for Rio Ferdinand.
