It's not often we see a goal like this from such a distance - Jonathan Soriano take a bow!

It was probably the shock of the evening, with Dutch side Ajax in competition with Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg.

Ajax were expected to win the game as they are only in the competition after finishing third in their Champions League group  - but it wasn't to be.

Soriano opened the scoring from the penalty spot, after team-mate Alan was fouled by Ajax's Joel Veltman.

A fantastic ball from Kampl helped team-mate Sadio Mane make it 2-0, rounding onrushing Ajax keeper Jasper Cillessen before slotting into an empty net.

And then came the third, which just topped the lot. Soriano's 35-yard lob over goalkeeper Cillessen was, in my eyes, definitely goal of the night - watch it above (thanks to 101 Great Goals).
