NFL draft prospect, Johnny Manziel has today hit out at his critics during his pre-combine press conference.
The former Texas A&M quarterback addressed the media in Indianapolis and said : "I'm looking forward to showing up all those who say I'm just an improvsor."
Manziel won the 2012 Heisman trophy for the best college football player and set numerous SEC records with both his passing and running skills. However, many NFL scouts still believe that Manziel's dynamic dual-threat game will be hard to recreate in the professional ranks.
The quarterback also commented on being measured just shy of six feet tall and the potential problems that could cause.
"I feel like I play like I'm 10 feet tall." Manziel claimed, "It's just a number for me," he continued referring to the measurements taken earlier that day.
Manziel did measure well for hand size, another important aspect considered by scouts with 9 7/8 better than both Blake Bortles and Teddy Bridgewater. It was revealed that Bridgewater used to wear two pairs of gloves during games at Louisville to compensate for his small hands.
