LeBron James suffered a bloodied nose during Miami Heat’s defeat of Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night, and has revealed how he plans to combat the same thing happening again.
The reigning MVP was caught twice in the face by the hand of Serge Ibaka as he powered through to the rim but, LeBron being LeBron, managed to slam down the bucket before surveying the damage to his nose.
Ibaka’s second contact, which came while LeBron was in midair, sent the Heat star sprawling to the floor, and he blood could visibly be seen dripping from his nose.
The Heat got the win, and LeBron came out on top in his personal battle with Kevin Durant, and after the game he posted a picture on Instagram to show how he will avoid getting his nose hit from now on.
“I mean I just might have to...BaneJames #StriveForGreatness,” LeBron said with an image of him mocked up like Batman bad guy Bane.
Next up for LeBron and the Heat will be the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, and we’ll have to wait and see if he takes the Bane approach.
