The Miami Heat have confirmed that LeBron James suffered a broken nose during last night's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
LeBron left the court in the fourth quarter with a bloody nose after Thunders' Serge Ibaka connected with the reigning MVP's nose as the Heat man made a dunk.
And now, after being re-evaluated by Heat medical staff, the player is confirmed to have sustained a broken nose which puts his participation in the team's next game in doubt.
The Heat face the Chicago Bulls on Sunday night, and the franchise now list LeBron as a game-time decision for the February 23 match up.
The Heat won the hyped contest against OKC 103-81 with LeBron scoring 33 points before leaving play with just over 5 minutes remaining.
If James does play against the Bulls, he will likely wear a protective mask as he has previously done, but it remains to be seen whether the team risk him against a struggling opponent.
