After months of rumours and predictions the WWE have finally confirmed that the legendary Hulk Hogan will be returning to the company.

The WWE broke the news on their official website that the Hall of Famer has officially re-signed with the WWE and will host WrestleMania XXX on Sunday April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, a role The Rock played three years ago.

There were rumours circulating for months that Hulk Hogan will be returning to the WWE in some capacity this year, some predicted he could be wrestling but it is now confirmed that will not be the case.

His long-awaited return will take place on Monday Night Raw, the night the WWE Network officially launches and it is confirmed that he will also be appearing on WWE Raw Backstage Pass, a programme airing live on the WWE Network immediately after Monday Night Raw goes off air.

Vince McMahon was obviously happy that possibly his one-time biggest asset has made his eagerly anticipated return to the company, he said: “We are thrilled that Hulk Hogan has returned home to WWE.

"It’s fitting to have him help us celebrate 30 years of WrestleMania and usher in a new era with the launch of WWE Network.”

‘Hulkamania’ also had his say on his return to the company which made him the legend he is today.

“Words cannot express how excited I am to be back in the WWE family. I only have one question for the WWE Universe: Whatcha gonna do when Hulakamania runs wild as the host of WrestleMania 30?”

Hulk Hogan has gone down as one of the very best to have stepped inside the squared circle, entertaining crowds from all corners of the world and setting the benchmark for future WWE superstars.

He has earned his Hall of Fame ring and it will certainly be a great moment watching Hulk Hogan appear on Raw and WrestleMania once again for fans of all generations.
