Mesut Ozil's performance for Arsenal in their 2-0 Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich in mid-week has been pulled apart and scrutinised by pundits and experts over and over.

The German's missed penalty and laconic display meant he has been forced to contend with a barrage of criticism, with some suggesting that the Gunners may have made a mistake in paying more than £40 million for his services.

Click through to see the five players who simply have to be dropped in the coming weeks for their own good - or else.
