Top 5: Premier League stars who need a break (1)

Published Add your comment

Mesut Ozil's performance for Arsenal in their 2-0 Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich in mid-week has been pulled apart and scrutinised by pundits and experts over and over.

The German's missed penalty and laconic display meant he has been forced to contend with a barrage of criticism, with some suggesting that the Gunners may have made a mistake in paying more than £40 million for his services.

While that may be a step too far, it's fair to say that a break for the former Real Madrid man may be just what the doctor ordered - and that's a step that Arsene Wenger has taken for his side's game against Sunderland today.

Click through to see the five players who simply have to be dropped in the coming weeks for their own good - or else.
