Edin Dzeko manages to miss from two yards

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko looked all set to put the Premier League title contenders 2-0 to the good against Stoke City this afternoon, left free to tap home a flash across goal from Jesus Navas at the back post.

Dzeko had time and space to pick his spot with goal gaping from just a couple of yards out, but fluffed his lines and somehow scuffed a frankly pathetic effort off both feet and out of harms way.

The Bosnian striker's mistake had no effect on the final score, with City emerging 1-0 winners, although the main talking point from a routine home victory will surely be a contender for the miss of this, or any Premier League season.

Feel free to check out Dzeko's calamity in a Vine at the top of the page, and comment if you can think of a miss that even comes close to matching it for clumsiness or lack of concentration.
