Arsene Wenger has revealed that Nacho Monreal and Laurent Koscielny will most likely be fit for Arsenal's trip to Stoke City next week, according to reports.
Wenger is not yet fully sure as to the extent of Wilshere's injury, which he picked up in Arsenal's 4-1 win against Sunderland, but as far as he knows, it is not too serious.
Wenger said: “Koscielny has a back problem, Nacho has a foot problem because he was kicked on his foot. I think both should be available next week.”
Monreal was substituted at half-time for right-back Carl Jenkinson, whilst Mathieu Flamini was brought on for Koscielny, shortly after the French centre-back scored to take the game to 4-0. This meant that Arsenal had Bacary Sagna playing at centre-back and midfielder Flamini playing at left-back.
Towards the end of the game, Jack Wilshere seemed to pick up an injury, but stayed on the field. However, Wenger is unsure as to how long the Englishman will be out for.
“He had a tight hamstring, I don’t know if it is bad or not. They tell me it is not too bad," he revealed.
As for Mesut Ozil, was originally reported to have been rested after his penalty miss against Bayern on Wednesday, but Wenger revealed that it was a thigh injury that saw him left out of the squad: “Yes [Özil was injured], a thigh problem but it was a kick.
“He should also be available next week. He is in the dressing room at the moment.”
Arsenal face a tough run of fixtures in the coming weeks.
