Top 5: Legendary stars that deserve a statue (3)

Barcelona | Lionel Messi

Football News

Just about eligible for this list, Messi made his Barcelona debut in 2004. And all things considered, he's a pretty intimidating candidate to beat.

Perhaps an argument could be made for Ronaldinho. It would be similar to the one for Drogba - a transformational character for his club, capable of the brilliant and the ridiculous, but not necessarily the one who stuck around the longest.

But we're not giving it to Ronaldinho, not when Messi is the alternative.

He's the club's record goalscorer at the age of 26, the top scorer in La Liga history already.

He's a four-time Ballon d'Or winner.

He should have a statue right now.
