New York Knicks fans you might want to close your eyes now; it would appear that things are starting to go rapidly downhill concerning Carmelo Anthony.
According to source in the U.S the Knicks’ star man has revealed he is becoming increasingly worried with the situation at the franchise, whose 107-98 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday was their eighth defeat in their last ten games, their 35th of the season.
In fact the Knicks’ recent form has already virtually guaranteed that they won’t be in contention for a playoff place and, given the fact that many expected Anthony and co. to be vying for a high finish in the Eastern Conference, it’s no wonder head coach Mike Woodson is high on the list of people fans would like to be rid of.
One man they don’t want to lose however, is one who they very easily could. Anthony’s importance at the Knicks is one that cannot be understated, but recent comments would allude to the fact that he is far from happy with the struggling franchise.
"It's starting to get tough to handle," Anthony said, following his side’s loss to a Hawks side who hadn’t won in eight games.
It's definitely testing me," Anthony said.
"The frustration has definitely sunk in, just from the simple fact we're losing games the same way over and over and we're just not learning from that."
