Chelsea and Manchester United look set to go head to head in their ongoing pursuits of Bayer Leverkusen starlet Julian Brandt, according to the Daily Mirror.
The former Wolfsburg winger, now 17, is attracting the attention of the Premier League giants following excellent form in the Bundesliga.
Brandt has nailed down a position in the Leverkusen starting eleven, despite only playing academy football the previous season.
But Jose Mourinho, a keen admirer of the German youngster is set to try and sign the youngster at the second time of asking.
However, David Moyes is also interested in the winger, who has been likened to his very own starlet, Adnan Januzaj.
Moyes sent one of his scouts to watch Brandt last week, and the former Everton manager was reportedly very happy with the glowing scouting report that followed.
Brandt is reportedly only willing to make the move to England if regular Premier League football can be offered.
And with Moyes showing he is willing to give the likes of Januzaj their big break, Brandt’s preference may swing towards Manchester.
