Tottenham's key defensive star, Jan Vertonghen, has hinted that he will leave Spurs if they fail to finish in the automatic qualification places for the Champions League.
The Belgian international has yet to decide his future, but will wait until after the World Cup to decide if he wants to move away or not.
"What I want is to be playing in the Champions League with Tottenham, so I hope we get in this year," he said after Spurs' 1-0 defeat against Norwich at Carrow Road yesterday.
"Do I have a decision to make if we don't? I can't say anything about that. Let's see after the end of the season, after the World Cup."
The defender, who moved from Ajax in 2012, has become an integral part of the Spurs' defence, making 75 appearances and scoring eight times.
The London club face Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool before the end of the season. Despite being six points away from the Champions League place, the defeat to Norwich at the weekend has damaged the team's confidence.
"Against Norwich, it was just not good enough. We need to improve the level of our game to compete for the top places.
"Mentally, we're strong enough. Maybe we're one of the best teams mentally because we support each other all the time but we need to get things right on the pitch." said the Belgian international.
