The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that Arsenal star Mesut Ozil hasn't been arrested following a driving collision involving a photographer, reports The Daily Star

The German international was reportedly visited by officers on Friday night after allegations were made that the Gunners ace hit the photographer with his vehicle.

And reports have suggested that Ozil failed to stop after the incident and officers along with an ambulance visited the scene.

However, despite having visited the Arsenal star, the Police have revealed that no arrests have been made.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Police received a call at 19.18 on Friday 21 February following an alleged collision between a vehicle and a member of the public.

"The member of the public suffered minor injuries.

"Officers have spoken to the driver and enquiries continue. No arrests have been made."

This latest incident comes at a bad time for the German star as he's had a nightmare past week.

Having missed a penalty in Arsenal's Champions League Round of 16 clash with Bayern Munich last Wednesday, Ozil was then left out of the side that beat Sunderland this past weekend.

On the incident involving the playmaker, Arsenal Football Club have failed to make any comment.
